Air conditioner leaks

All of a sudden my Coleman Chillgrille AC decides to start dripping. I took the return air vent off and noticed a metal frame inside that water was dripping from. Upon further investigation, I felt on top of the contoured metal frame and noticed it was full of water. Am I clogged somewhere, how do I unclog, or is something else wrong. Its getting hot and I need halp. Thanks.

Hi,

Yes it is clogged, and you need to clean out the drip tube. Remove the rooftop cover, and look for that same drip pan from the top. You probably need to remove about 4 - 6 each 1/4" head screws. Or if you find the drip tube without removing any screws, all the better. Clean it out with something, coat hanger or some wire? Some dirt then a little water should come out. The drip pan only holds about 8 ounces of water, so do not expect a lot of water.

Good luck!

Fred.
