Air Dryer maintenance

Just thought Id share this tidbit.
Recently when starting the MH, it was taking longer to build air pressure which I thought at first was a sticking govenor in the air compressor. During my annual(almost annual) oil, filter changes, I decided to purchase a new air dryer cannister and rebuild kit. On my air dryer, it says to hand tighten ONLY but I figured I would need a strap wrench to remove the old one. So I thought....it was quite loose(check those filter/cannisters for tightest). Long story short, after doing this maint, air pressure now builds immediately and I dont need to wait on it any longer. Just a heads up in case your having any issues with air pressure!
  • I just went through the exact same thing. Had air dryer serviced and alls well now.
  • thanks so much....gotta check my part numbers...no idea when mine was done by previous owner.
  • I ordered mine from FilterBarn.com...my dryer is a Haldex/Midland(Model# DQ6026-Dryer Kit). I think the cost was in the 120-130.00 range.
