air pressure

I have a tire that is low and i am having a hard time airing it up.when i hook the air hose up to the valve stem it looses more air than what is being added.It seams like no matter how hard i press down on the connection i cant seem to get it to stop.Are there any adapter that will aid in this problem?

    Our air chuck screws on to the stem. Comes with the Viair compressors.

    If the tire has a valve extension on it, that can be a cause. Happened to me. Went to a tire shop and the guy brought out a new extension without looking at the tire but did not use it as he just tightened up the existing.

    Try a different air chuck. I replaced mine and it made a difference.
    It's worth a shot, they're not expensive.

    I've never used the 'lock on' type. Maybe they will work better.

    Me too - but sometimes there's not enough space to get one locked on. I've found these to work better for my rims.
