air pressure

I have a tire that is low and i am having a hard time airing it up.when i hook the air hose up to the valve stem it looses more air than what is being added. It seams like no matter how hard i press down on the connection i cant seem to get it to stop. Are there any adapter that will aid in this problem?
  • Our air chuck screws on to the stem. Comes with the Viair compressors.
  • If the tire has a valve extension on it, that can be a cause. Happened to me. Went to a tire shop and the guy brought out a new extension without looking at the tire but did not use it as he just tightened up the existing.
  • Try a different air chuck. I replaced mine and it made a difference.
    It's worth a shot, they're not expensive.

I've never used the 'lock on' type. Maybe they will work better.

Me too - but sometimes there's not enough space to get one locked on. I've found these to work better for my rims.
