- Bill_SatelliteExplorer IIThe Sensar III plus Wingman = Sensar IV. The Sensar II or lower would be worth a replacement. If you have a Sensar II, it has the same curved shape top and bottom and the Sensar III/IV has a wing shape, flat on the bottom and curved on the top.
- Tom_M1ExplorerMy 2005 Born Free coach had a Braund Delta TV antenna with no amp. The amp was in the wall plate. It was a poor excuse for an antenna. I replaced it with a Sensar III non-amplified antenna.

The only reason I can imagine anyone wanting one is for retrofit into an existing RV that has no power wall plate and they don't want to install one. Poor solution when an amplified head will do so much better. - Tom_M1ExplorerThe Sensar III is also available non-amplified.

I do know the Sensar Pro module indoors makes a big difference in several ways.. Highly recommend about 100 dollars DIY.
A Sensar III equipped with the optional Wingman is identical to a Sensar IV which is merely a III factory packaged to include the Wingman. The older Sensar II was originally available non-amplified and as amplified ... obviously an amplified version is going to achieve better results than a non-amplified. Regardless, it would appear the OP has ordered a new Sensar IV but I agree, adding a SensarPro would further improve reception. - wa8yxmExplorer III

I do not believe there is a serious advantage to the newer Sensar IV over an III or II with Wingman.. But Bill is the expert on that.

I now have a somewhat different problem where I'm parked.
I'm running out of hard drive space on my DVR's.. Had to dump some low priority shows.
Who needs a hundred dollar a month Sat TV system when for 25/year I get an electronic program guide and more OTA digital tv than I can watch? - PiciniscoExplorer

A new antenna is always a good idea but you likely only need the Wingman add-on.
Wingman add on is all I ordered. $25.85 from Amazon. - Bill_SatelliteExplorer II

The only possible issue is that everyone assumes you have a Winegard Batwing antenna on the roof. They may have better information than I do, but is that what you are using for your OTA TV reception?
I am using an older batwing, but with the above information i have been able to get something like 38 channels, maybe a handful of interest.

A new antenna is always a good idea but you likely only need the Wingman add-on. The older antenna is NOT an Analog antenna (no such thing) so it will receive the digital signal perfectly. The Wingman add-on just increases the reception ability on the UHF frequencies where most of the TV broadcasts reside these days. - shastagaryExplorerdigital transition was in 2009 so if the tv is older than that you may have a tv that needs a digital converter box to receive digital television channels. digital transition if you just bought the tv new at a store you should be ready to go. do a channel search from the menu screen and be sure to set it to scan air channels not cable channels.
