Another mod idea

I was in a 2016 Iconic toy hauler and I see they have the heater ducted into the bath and front bedroom. My 2015 isn't ducted but the heaters appear to be the same. I checked my heater manual and a duct can be used. I was thinking this would be a great idea as the bath and bedroom gets cool due to lack of air flow.

Once I though about the job some more I'm just not sure it would be possible without a lot of cabinet removal. Both my trailer and the 2016 are set up the same. What they did with the heat duct is starting under the sink where the heater is located is run the duct through the kitchen cabinets, through the wall and under the shower, through the bathroom cabinet and through the bedroom wall. The bathroom duct is right under the sink cabinet. Its a straight shot from the heater to bedroom and around 10 to 15 feet. It all sounds easy until I try and figure out how to drill the hole size needed through cabinets and wall while laying on the floor with one hand stuffed in a cabinet reaching as far as my gorilla arms will allow.

Has anyone tried doing something like this? Any ideas?
  • Work from below. Cut the hole through the floor structure and put in a L register from above, behind the toe-kick space. Heck, if the under cabinet area is small, just cut the toe kick, install register grill, drill hole from underneath and attach duct into hole. The space under the cabinet will act like a buffer for distributed air. If your bath run is short to the furnace, that may be a good thing.
  • Can you go down thru the floor with a flexible ell to a piece of 3" or 4" black PVC and then go back up into the bathroom and bedroom?
