After several years of very hot water on both electric or gas we now have barely hot water. From reading the online manual it appears that the thermostat is fixed at factory. Can it be adjusted or replaced, I would assume it could be replaced but not sure and have not found anything on internet regarding that.
Seeing how it is the same on gas or electric I am pretty certain that it is the thermostat.
Any other thoughts? Cleaning, can't see that helping but maybe.

Love you guys, as was suggested the bypass valve was open, never even thought to check that and as I said, I had had drained the water system this past spring doing some work on the rig, feel kind of like duhhh, I should have checked that?
Hot showers again!

Thanks to all who have replied, I have to check the valves then as I did have them shut off this past spring while doing some remodeling in the rig. I will post what I find.

Your Atwood GC10A-3E is indeed a electic & gas water heater

BUT the electric uses it's own separate 120V AC set of t-stat/ECO. They are located on backside of water heater tank with the electric element

The gas uses it's own separate 12V DC set of t-stat/ECO and they are located on front in the outside compartment

Both sets are fixed temp
T-stat OPENS at 140*F (closes for refire at 110*F)
ECO (Energy Cut Off--High temp) OPENS at 180*F

Warm water on electric AND propane..then either water heater bypass valve is open/leaking thru (as suggested)
OR you have a shower still on (Hot/Cold Knobs open) and turned off at handle (allows hot/cold to mix inside the shower faucet which then results in warm water in hot lines)

FYI....Mixer Valves used on 'EXT' models (GE9-EXT or GE16-EXT)

Check the rear of the water heater. It may have a mixer valve that regulates the water temp. Same thing happened to us a few years ago. I turned the adjustment knob back and forth a few times and that fixed the problem.

I hate to ask, but are you sure the bypass valve(s) are in the right position?
