Atwood furnace limit switch

We have Atwood 8520-IV DCLP furnace that is cycling on the limit switch. I measured outlet temp on the ducts coming out of the heater and it was 170F. The limit switch is supposedly set for 190F.

Is 170 close enough to 190 to not worry?

Can the limit switch be changed without taking the furnace out of the coach?
  • Yes, you can replace the switch by removing the room air blower wheel. But... you have an airflow problem, either not enough ducting, air recirculating or restricted return air- the furnace should not cycle on the limit switch, and at 170 degrees at the duct, that’s too hot.
