Atwood furnace shuts down after first failed ignition

Furnace: Atwood hydroflame 7912. Probably a 1983. The board has been replaced with a dinosaur board with fan control. I have a very bizzare problem, that I'm hoping someone out there might have so...

Maybe its the thermostat. Do you have a analog one you can try? if not I have the old one from my unit I can give you (I'm in Calgary)
