My awning took a major wind gust and just annihilated the bracketing and joints. Most are broken or bent. How do you determine what brand, model, make of awning you have so you can then go online and look for replacement parts? Then second question is once I figure out what awning I do have where is the best online vendor/distributor/supplier to order needed parts?Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If a good part of your awning is, "annihilated," as you posted, you are probably better off getting a whole new awning...I really like the Carefree 'Travel'R' awning we have our our trailer..>power>djustable pitch>lumaguard roller protection

A&E awnings often have a label somewhere on the roller tube.

Google "RV awning" and look for pictures which seem to match. Post some pictures, someone here may be able to ID it. Is it like this?That looks like a Dometic 9200 (powered) or 9100 (manual).

By the time you buy two new arms and fabric, your pretty much at the point of a new awning.

dx= color, Gulf Blue
14= 14 foot
401= I think this means OEM, not retail

Unfortunately, that doesn't tell you about the hardware, which comes in both short and tall sizes. That number would be on a label on one of the arms, something like 8273000.401.

That is great news... I thought awning cost thousands not hundreds. I could swing $700 easy.

Ha... Sorry Mike. Here they are. SN:31181155 Model:848dx14401 Winnebago did not know the brand. Just these numbers matched my Vin#.

I called my local Dometic Dealer and they took the numbers and was going to do some looking. She also wanted pictures. However the RV is in the shop right now getting the Gennie up and running. So I'm going to have to wait.

An Dometic 8500 awning should run around $600-$700 complete with fabric. The prices I quoted earlier were for the Dometic 9100, which is an electric awning. Manual will be cheaper.

if you unroll the awning, on the roller is a label telling you the length, plus the manufacturer's info.

Okay Imgoin4it that's what I like to hear. I just got off the phone with Winnebago and they didn't have the brand but had the model and serial numbers for it. I'll give Dometic a call and see what I can come up with. Thanks!!!

I destroyed an awning arm and some brackets. Mine was a Dometic. I called Dometic, they asked me enough questions and my answers were finally good enough for them to know what parts I needed. They overnighted them to me, I installed and fixed within 24 hours

I'm on the phone right now with Winnebago and see if they know what awning they installed on my RV by VIN#.
