Awning knocked off, repair Qs

Tree won the encounter. Most parts were ok, amazingly, replacing those that weren't. It's a Solera power awning on a Passport 238ML. I am wondering if I can simply remount the awning in the old holes, after getting some broken rivets out. The TT has an aluminum frame, so is it possible that the holes where rivets were pulled out are now enlarged, and would using a wider rivet there work? Or should I drill a new set of holes?
Any help, and especially experiences doing this, would be greatly appreciated!
