What's the best rv battery? I have a 1995 Holiday Rambler. It stays at deer camp where there is no electricity.

Energizer AGM Commercial Battery - Group Size 31C
Answers from Energizer battery expert energizerleadacidbatteries@gmail.com

The post type battery in this group size is a 31A. (me:threaded 31C)

31 AGM 20 amp rating.? Our Energizer group 31s are not deep cycle and therefor would not be a good choice for your Golf Cart. The Golf Cart batteries Sam's Club offers now are not AGM.

The warranty on this battery is one year free replacement.

Mex,

Direct link to Sam's Club grp 31 AGM Core charge at my local Sam's was $5. I chose to pay the charges and recycle at the scrap yard.

IMO, a bit away from "best deal on the Planet". With tax and core that is $1.88/AH. FWIW, two GC2 6 V's were $.90/AH at the same place.

I am forced toward the Sam's Club MEXICO site no matter what I do just like the WalMart site. Sam's Club Mexico wouldn't know an AGM battery if one jumped up and bit them in the ass.

Can someone help with the following, please?

Terminal type

Weight

20 Amp Hour rating

CCA

Months of 100% no cost replacement guarantee

Cost of no core turned in when purchased

THANK YOU

There are few of us that have paid $100 to 125 for lightly used Telecom AGM batteries with 140 -150 AH's. Perhaps a better deal if you can find them locally on craigslist.

Maintenance of the battery(s) is the most important. Any quality battery will last for years if taken care of.

AGM (absorbed glass mat), wet cell and gel cell batteries are all good choices. But opinions will vary.

Need to know the uses of batteries (lights, heater, etc)? How long are your trips? There is no need to buy a battery for $300 if it does not fit your needs.

If you do not have a power source to take with you, then you need capacity. That means you need batteries that hold a charge for long periods. And you will probably need to hook batteries in parallel to achieve enough capacity to last the whole trip.

Must be f-i-n-e stoner folks up there in Oregon ๐Ÿ™‚

Why even take the battery out RJ? They'll just set fire to the rig and burn down the National Forest when they find out they can't steal the battery, propane tanks, tires and wheels and everything inside.

A disconnected fully charged battery will have a long shelf life just sitting there. They do need to be checked ocassionally and of course if the charge is dropping back then do some trickle charging... Leaving my batteries hooked up will drain down rather quick from the parasitic drains inside the trailer... I switch them completely off-line and let them sit on the trailer tongues... Being fully charged they will not freeze up on you...

Being no 120VAC power at the camp site almost makes you bring them home with you or setup some sort of solar panels to trickle charge them. If the charger is too much this will boil out the battery fluids over time and destroy your battery...

Yeah, buy the best, then have it go stone dead for any unknown reason, and scrap it. And that if someone doesn't steal it first.

Like said, take it home w/ you, stick it on a battery tender.
