Brake Lights

Doing a check as we prepare to leave for home, and the brake lights are not working. No voltage on the power lead, 20A fuse is good. FTL raised rail chassis.
  • Thanks to all for prompt replies.
I also found no power to the hitch brake pin.
Both fuses are good and have 12V.
I now remember that the brake did not disconnect cruise when we came down.
I agree that suggests a defective switch, but I've looked at the pedal area, and the only connection I see coming out of it is the pedal motor.
I looked at the firewall, but there are a thousand wires, and I have no idea what the switch should look like if it's there.
    I'll call FTL for direction.
    Thanks again.

If you're SURE the fuse is good, I'd be checking the brake light switch next.

Brake light switch at pedal and the ground.

  • Is there power at that 20A fuse when you check with a meter?
