Can’t get sound from a Roku or a fire stick.

Help!!! We have a 2014 travel trailer. We can’t get any sound from either the Roku or the fire stick. The dvd sound works just fine. The camper does hook up to the surround sound be we can’t figure out what we are missing. We have tried everything and no sound while trying to stream. Anyone know why I can do??
