Can you help with Even Brake?

We have an Even Brake, bought several years ago. It's worked flawlessly until now.
We set it up, plug it in, the transmitter is attached. We plug in the monitor in the motorhome. Its says " ready for test" as it should.
We hit the test button, it goes through the test. Gives us a green light.
The monitor shows " test is good system ready." 
So far so good.
The trouble is, the car never brakes. 
We noticed it this trip beacause DH had to hit the brakes hard in the mh, and the monitor never showed braking. 
To verify, I sat in the car, DH drove down a road, then hit the brakes hard. No braking in the car. 
Everything is set the same way it's been for the last few years. It definitely was braking on our last trip.
There is no indication that anything is wrong. It's just not braking.
Anyone have any insight or advice?
