Converter problems?

I woke up this morning to the lp detector squeeling and there is no leaks or anything blocking it. If the convertor breaker is shut off it stops the squeeling. Also the power converter keeps cycling on and off also causing the lights to brighten and dim. The battery is at 12.8, not dead, don't know what to do, any ideas, thanks.

    Did you check the battery disconected from the trailer? You are desvribing a converter that has went bad

    Yes it was 12.8

    The squealing could also be due to the failing converter.

    The squeeling is coming from the lp detector in alarm

    That's my guess. My detector went bad after just 4 years. I disconnected it and all was good with no squeeling so we continued camping. Took about a week to get a new one and put it in. All is good now. These detectors are made to have a limited lifespan.

    Low voltage will cause LP detectors to sound the alarm. What kind of voltage is the converter putting out?
