Converter Question

On my World Friendship power converter one of my terminals reads 8.2 volts when the others read 12v +.

Any thoughts on why this is happening.
The fuse is good and there is no light indicating no power.

The circuit is for the gas detector.

I had only looked at the fuse and didn't test it.
    Bad fuse.

    Thanks for your quick posts.
Those fuses on the converter are reverse polarity fuses, double check your wiring.

OP was posting about 'branch' fuses........ie: specifically the one for his gas detector. 15/20A fuses.

Reverse polarity fuses are 30A or larger and if blown no DC power from battery or battery recharging from converter

  • WF8539AN is the model number.
    Brand new battery

Get the same results on shore power or disconnected.
  • Welcome to the forum.

    Which WFCO converter?
Are you connected to shore power?
Do you have a battery installed?
