Last summer we had diesel fuel spraying on the rear of our Cummins engine in a 1998 Monaco Dynasty. nobody would touch it, so I went to Auto Zone and put a splice in the rubber hose with clamps. This is the second time this hose has worn through and there's a warning for Monaco owners. I was concerned so I took the unit into Freightliner to replace, and it turns out that its not the main fuel line but a fuel return line which goes from the rear of the engine back to the tank. Its mildly pressurized but is problematic they said because the main fuel line is heavier duty than this. You can imagine the job of threading this hose up to the tank on a 42 ft rig. 8.5 hours of labor. The hose cost $ 500. I hope I don't have other hoses to replace in the future. Freightliner and Kirk in Avondale did a super job.
