Dill TPMS Problem

Totally new to RVing. We bought a new to us Class C on a E450 chassis. Our original plan was to go with Borg metal valve stems and a TST non-flow TPMS. When we went to the tire store we were advised we not do the valve stems and an internal Dill TPMS kit was recommended. So we had six new XPS Rib LT225/75R16 installed along with the Dill TPMS yesterday. We we picked it up, were told it still was in the process of 'learning' the tires and the data regarding pressure/temperature would then be displayed. We have reset the system several times and it is only reading 1/6 sensors. We went back to the tire store this morning. The called Dill and it was suggested we needed to use the antenna to amplify the signal. (Yesterday we were told they were giving us the antenna, but did not need it because we were not towing a trailer.) (And we do not want to use an external antenna!) The tire shop said they would call Dill back and let us know what other resolutions might be available and then they would call us back. No phone call yet. We’re getting concerned… Can anyone offer any insight/experiences? Thank you!
  • If it were me, I would tell them to pull the Dill system out and put the TST system on. No reason it should take more than a few minutes to "learn" the system. My TST system begins to display the pressures and temps within a few minutes of turning it on. Even on the initial installation, it took only a short time to program the system and start displaying the pressures and temps.
  • If you want internal sensors TST has them as well as the regular and flow thru. I have never heard of Dill.
  • Thanks for your replies. This is their website: http://www.trailertpms.com/home.html
  • Followed your suggestion - unit and monitors have been removed and TST unit is on order. It appears the Dill unit is better suited to TT and tow vehicles...? Again, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts!
  • I think you'll be happy with the TST system. They have some of the best customer service I've ever experienced, and their products work.
