The cooling unit was no longer functional. Internal fridge temps were around 50°F and we were not trusting anymore. The amount of food disposed of over the previous two years more than paid for the new cooling unit. The capability started degrading after the third year of operation. Multiple times I came to this site and read about fixes that did help improve the operation. Adding cooling fans, improving air flow in the ductwork all helped but ultimately limped it along until it totally failed. It never leaked ammonia but simply lost its effectiveness.
