Minimum generater size 3.5/ 5KW I am trying to find out what the smalest generater I can run this on if a Magnum MSH 3012 3000W 12V 125A inverter with load sharing is used for the startup inrush of 4 6V 260A Batteries. 2000 is marginal (13.3 amp rated) and may work fine. Yamaha 2400 might be a better fit. Make sure the choice is compatible with an extended run fuel tank that I assume you need. The actual draw is probably a bit less than the max rating.
You might run it with a 2.4kw set- something that is rated at 2kw continuous, but 2.4 continuous will certainly run it (though, as you know, not always start it).
That was what I was wanting to find out not real good with electrical. If a overcast day not much solar but not so much demand for air either, I was thinking Honda 2000/1600 continues or the 3000, longer run time and maybe quieter as less load. or Yamaha 2400 But I do like Honda products.

No I was intending for generator to supply the power and only use inverter for startup sharing, but the inverter may be able to do some sharing as I have 600W solar producing op to 30A. Frank
