Dometic refrigerator setting while traveling

while traveling put it on propane, first turn on propane tank slow. then light stove or furnace first, to get air out of the system let on for a couple minutes, turn stove /furnace off ,turn frig to propane and light. when its on propane from a dead start it will take about 10hours to get the freezer cold and the frig box cool. NOTE we light ours the day before a trip load that evening don,t turn it of till we get home ,uses very little propane.

Check your manual for your model. We leave the propane on. Set refer to auto. In that mode it will switch to 120 volt AC when you plug in shore power and switch to propane when you disconnect.

There is no auto setting, only four -
ac, off gas and off.

What is the model number?

A good tip besides using propane is to make sure the food you add is as cold as possible when you load up for the trip. Some RV'ers will put a plastic container with ice in the fridge portion to help with the cooling.

We also try to light ours the day before the trip to get it cold before leaving.

I believe it is 2332 or2333.

Your refer is definitely a manual operation only. I would make a note for myself to switch refer as part of setup and breakdown.RM 2332 Manual

i keep mine on Propane ALL the time, i never use the electric mode
