Dometic thermostst smoked
Hi, have a friend in the CG \, has park model trailer, a month ago had a new thermostat installed (Dometic) (paid RV repair CO. $400.) part and labor, last wk it smoked up and burned out the contacts....

Only way it could get "smoked" is if it was installed wrong. I installed a Honeywell Pro 3000, but there are lots of models (Hunters) that will work great also...Have their own power source (2 AA batts) and won't get "smoked."
