Dyna-Trail NT-24M Blower

I have a 1977 Coachmen with a Suburban Dyna-Trail NT-24M furnace. It was working great until I noticed the blower will not turn off. I had to disconnect the power to get it to stop. From what little information is available, I think it is the fan switch. Can anyone confirm my thoughts and should I replace the unit or repair it? It is 36 years old but everything is in very good condition. Thanks in advance for any ideas or comments. Tom

  • That is my concern, the age and it is gas. We have this trailer parked on land in the mountains and it don't go anywhere but we like coming up in the winter and need heat. I guess I will pull it out and check the other components for and go from there. I really don't want to spend $600 on a replacement but considering there is a fire ball of gas sitting right under our bed, it might be the wise choice.

    Thanks.
  • That's a tough call- *if* it uses a dual solenoid gas valve, the burner is in good shape, and- most importantly- the combustion chamber is solid- an under $20 fix would seem like a good idea.
But... 36 years is a long time for an appliance that has the ability to gas you :), many parts are no longer available, and a new NT will fit right in with little or no modification.
