FLEXIBLE FRESH WATER HOSE

I am tired of fighting with my Camco white water hose. This time of year it is like wrestling a Bowa Constrictor to get it put away. Why do I do this? Anyone know of an easy coiling fresh water hose that won't break the bank. I saw one on a compact reel. Any thoughts?

In cold weather I simply connect my water hose to my outside water connection and run hot water through it until it becomes soft and easy to coil.

Also, a thinner hose may not be a great idea to have under constant pressure.

Looking at the website i agree it does not say BPA free. Also says its not for hot water applications. Which for an RV hooked up to water in the summer might not be a great idea. Water in the hose can get really hot.

I like my water right hose. Not cheap but light weight and flexible. It used to be highly recommended on this site.

Funny, you can get a cheapo nozzel for it also, like they have in standpipes. I should get one.....

Yes, The RV ( Blue one ) states it is Drinking Water Safe

Should zero G hoses be used for potable water? On reading up on the Zero G hoses they are not BPA free and shouldn't be used for drinking water. Many folks claim the chemical smell from the hose is really bad.

Exactly what i did, and saved the older hoses and buried them inside the TT just in case. I gave one of the old hoses away this year, when a new camper didn't have a long enough hose for there RV.

I don't know if the RV version is better than the regular one, but the Zero Gs kink like crazy and even water pressure won't straighten them.

Well, we got about 8mo out of a Zero G before it split(using a 40psi reg). That was actually a good thing as in the process of repairing it, I noticed a "white" film on the inside. As such, I elected to demote it to garden hose duty.

Just fine. I want to say that mine were 2-3 years old when we stopped fulltiming. Hoses were fine.
