FLEXIBLE FRESH WATER HOSE

I am tired of fighting with my Camco white water hose. This time of year it is like wrestling a Bowa Constrictor to get it put away. Why do I do this? Anyone know of an easy coiling fresh water hose that won't break the bank. I saw one on a compact reel. Any thoughts?

I assume since you seem to be putting it away regularly, it's to fill the tank. Get one of the collapsible hoses. We have one that's about 10-12yrs old and works just fine. Very light, self drains and can be crammed into a very small area. A 50ft hose is easier to manage than a 25ft standard hose.

Now if you are hooking up to the city water connection I wouldn't recommend it. The people we've talked to who've done that found the outer casing degrades in the UV and it fails pretty quickly.

PS: if you are doing city water connection, I would worry more about being FDA approved for drinking water as it will sit baking in the sun with stagnant water in it. Since we fill the tank, the water isn't in contact with the hose for any significant length of time and doesn't have a chance to heat up.

I have 2 brand new Camco hoses sitting in the junk pile. Can't even get someone to steal them----stiff as a board. Got one of those collapsible hoses and so far it has worked fine. took a long time for an alternate to show up

What kind of problems did he have with them? Mine have been in trouble free daily use for about a year so far.

I just got my FIRST Zero G hose, have not tried it yet...

There were some on here a few months back questioning if they would work under constant pressure.. I sent an email to the company and received this response -

"Hi Joe,

Thank you for your inquiry. If you have the hose hooked up to an RV and are using a pressure regulator with it, it will work there is notice on the label that the hose is not meant to be left under pressure while unattended but in this application there is an exception.

Apex Zero G hose

I will quote this first of many if you want a great hose at a reasonable cost zero-g. They are great hoses.

The zero g isnt an expandable hose. It just has a collapsible jacket.

Just purchased a flexzilla hose and so far pleased with it, seems to be extremely flexible. We full time so I will see how it holds up.

I recommend AGAINST the expanding hoses as if the park should lose pressure they can pull the connector right off your Rig (major mess. easy repair but major mess)

Ever see those steel wrapped hoses... Dollar Generous.. er. general sells them .

I have one. Easy to wrangle. AND it seems not to mind being run over.

It was suggested to me by a fellow RVer and I used one for about 3 years before the Rig got totaled (Nothing to do with the hose) still have the hose.

I wonder how long the Zero G hose will last in full time use?

I'm so bummed that my favorite drinking water safe hose is no longer available. It rolls up flat on an included reel like a fire hose. I bought the last two an online RV shop in Utah had and when the second one dies I guess I'll have to try a Zero G.

If the zero g is coiled and connected... will it stay coiled as I turn on the water pressure? or does it flip out?

You won't go wrong with either the Zero G or Flexzilla. I have both (Home and RV) and am happy with both.
