Freedom Elite 22FE Fresh Water Drain

I have a 2019 Freedom Elite 22FE and am looking for an assist in confirming the location of the fresh water tank drain. This model does not have the small spigot on the outside of the coach.
The unit is new and while I have had travel trailers in the past before I take a cabinet panel off I wanted to ask.
I crawled under the coach and have located the white drain tube and traced it back. There is a panel on the inside with 6 screws that would have to be removed. It is not under the dinette.
What I want to confirm is that there is no other way of doing this without removing that panel? I am a bit stumped as I am assuming after several dumpings this panel will no longer screw back as designed.
  • Our mh has a panel that had 4 screws holding it in place. I took 2 magnetic cupboard door holders and put them center top and bottom, and made a wooden puller/handle on it. I stained the handle to match the wooden panel. Wasn't sure how well it would work. That was a couple years ago, and it is working well, has never fallen off.

  • That is a great idea. I was thinking about the handle and Velcro, but magnets would be much better.
  • Watch this.....

At the 2:22 mark there are low point drain valves shown. I don't think many class C manufacturers still use the spigot drains. Our Winnebago has similar valves in the outside water/electrical bay.
  • Thanks. This model does not have the bay. It sure would make it easier and all the Thor stuff starts with drain the tank. They forget to tell you where it is located and they seem to have placed the valve inside. On some coaches under the bed, others under the dinette. My water pump sits behind that cabinet so I was thinking the low point drains and the valve to empty the tank are there. I can see it all from under the coach.
  • Sorry, didn't know if your rig had an outside bay, but glad you seem to have a "handle" on it. :B
