Fridge issue

Question

I have a 2006 Springdale with an Dometic RM2652 refer.   Its been around 85 degrees here lately and I'm getting ready to take it to eastern Washington where its supposed to be 105 this weekend. In previous years when I bring it home and plug it in, after several hours the fridge will be down under 40 degrees. It seemed like it is taking forever to get down there now. Yet the freezer was down to 20 below in no time flat.   I was reading the manual on what I can do to if "The refrigerator does not cool properly".   There's quite a few things to check, of which some of them I don't understand.  Any primary things I could check first that are fairly simple?

Small world we're going over there also Thursday, Blue Mountain area. Ours also does what you describe. Ours take over 24 hours to get everything where it supposed to be. Freezer is ready in about 6 or 8 hours but frig takes long time, atleast on ours.

Getting that time of year where my campsite selection process includes which way wind is blowing so I can get frig/freezer pointed into wind for cooling purposes. And of course every year I say this year I'm going to install some fans in it.

one of the biggest things about these frigs is the door gasket , we had troubles for over a year ,guy told me put a bungee cord across the door ,it lowered the temp so much the milk froze. those doors get sprung just a little and they don,t seal as tight as it should .try it you,ll be amazed.
