Front Mount Receiver for 2015 3500HD

Not sure where to post this so here is the luck of the draw! I have just purchased a 2015 Chevy 3500HD LTZ crew cab 4x4 diesel dually that we will use with a 2015 Lance 1172 truck camper. Our previous rig was a 2500HD with a Lance 820. We are bicyclists and for the previous rig I had a front mounted 2" receiver for my bike carrier ... much easier than having some sort of hitch extension sticking out the back. But I just got off a chat with JC Whitney and they don't know of such a thing for my new truck. I'm not very mechanical or technical so I thought I'd ask for guidance. I'm hoping that it just takes the vendors a few months to design and produce this accessory but I have no real idea. Are there vendors I can call to see if they will be making such a thing?
  • Great suggestions. If Curt doesn't have one by the time we're in need I'll look into having one made ... never would have thought of that. Love this forum.
  • We have had two specially made by a local welding shop. Each was less than $200 and have worked flawlessly for years.
  • I went to a welding shop and they built a custom one for me for $100.00. Look in the yellow pages under hitches or welding.
  • This where I purchased the receiver for the front of my 2013 truck. Hooks to front tow hooks without any modification to the truck.

  • After reading my own post I emailed Curt who says the manufacturer expects to have one available in the next couple of months for snow season. And no, the 2015 front-end is not compatible with the 2014 ... have been told this over and over by Chevy dealer, who also couldn't find one available. I can wait. It is just for bicycles.
  • I got one for my truck in signature from curt 115.oo bucks to my front door. I am not sure who the retailer was. Did they change the frame on the 15 HD. If not they should be out there. Took me about a hour to install.
  • Try ETrailer.com

They will probably have to call Curt or another hitch manufacture, and see if the front hitch that fits a 2014 truck will also fit the 2015. Chance are that they will be the same.
