Gas oven won't stay lit..

We have a 2014 salem 29ud3, the gas burner or pilot for the oven will not stay lit. It will light and stay lit for 10 to 15 minutes and go out. Any ideas?? Thanks..

Yes, when the thermo safety circuit detects "no pilot", it shuts down all the gas flow.

If you let them know what the problem is ahead of time, you should be able to wait until they get it fixed. OUtside chance that the gas valve itself is bad but not likely, I think.

YOU can look at the pilot flame and see if the thermocouple bulb is well IN the flame like it should be.

I made a post recently about some propane appliances in my RV worked others didn't work. I pulled out my gas range and took it back several times. I was furious with the dealer. The dealer finally put it on the bench and showed me there was nothing wrong with my gas range. I finally had the pressure of my regulator checked. It was low. (pressure was checked by propane dealer) The rest of the appliances worked OK. They could not increase the pressure in the regulator. Apparently bad propane or just a defective regulator. Most propane dealers can check the pressure and adjust your propane regulator. Some RV dealers are just parts replacement jockies.

Thanks, yep does it while sitting still and yep we definitely have gas. It still has some warranty left I just don't like taking it and leaving it for repairs especially if it's something small we an take care of. Thanks again..

Bad thermo-couple......or it is not placed so the bulb on the end is directly in the pilot flame.....or the pilot is too low.

If it still is under warranty, take it in.
Even if not, the fix is probably quick and easy and they might not charge you to "adjust" it.

I assume this happens when sitting still, as opposed to going down the road.

P.S. Is the propane bottle full ??
