Generator A/C

My generator has failed (Onan 7.5)

I am purchasing one from a RV salvage yard.

It has a gray fitting below the control cable.

It is not on my unit, anyone know what it is for?

That is where the AC wiring came out to the RV.

I can just see that area while the generator is in the Motor Home. Mine does not have that.

I am picking the Motor Home and the generator up in pieces after a failed attempt for Cummins to repair the unit.

It will be interesting to see how my unit was hooked up.

    Thanks
  • Looks like flex conduit elbow,
The output power was probably wired thru there
  • Looks like it provided a route for additional wiring from or to the generator.
Perhaps for a second A/C unit or monitor system or was used on a boat instead of an RV and was wired differently....just guessing.

I bought a used one from a military source, it had extra connections on it that mine didn't have. I just made sure all extra wires were removed or capped with wire nuts and tape before hooking it up to my RV.
