generator

I have a 2000 watt champion genny.I have it stored in my truck untill i can get to the rv in storage.The genny is brand new and has only been taken out of the box.No oil has been put into it nor gas.Will it hurt anything to store it laying down instead of setting up?I know you cant do it with a frig.

    Stored dry (No gas or oil) it can be stored in any position, and for a great length of time.

    once you fuel it (And oil it) then upright and for no more than a month without use.

    Matters not the color. they are ALL loud in a otherwise quiet campground. IF it can be heard next site over. It's too loud

    As it is. You can store it anyway you want to. Just tag it no oil so you don't forget and crank it up.

    X3, during manufacturing and shipping that genset has been on it's top, bottom, ends. sides and inside out. it's best if the factory saran wrap stays sealed up.

    Joe, you can orient it anyway you want if there is no fuel or oil in it. Once you add oil, though, keep it upright.
