The reason that I asked the question was that my Xantrex Freedom 2000 SW(5 years old) is kaput. So I must replace it. The fault code(F04) says it is the AC transfer relay. The new generation #815-2012 Freedom 2000 SW (12V),is exactly the same except for newer engineered electronics so it would be easy to install and I can use the same remote but in 5 years will I have to replace it again. Are there better products out there, Chinese or otherwise? I would like a combo inverter/charger.
Dave
Separate inverter and converter can be wired to operate virtually the same as the combo unit.
Although I would be tempted to open the box and replace the relay on your old unit.
