Gvwr verses rim weight

I need a new aluminum rim . The weight capacity on the rims says 6h 3200 lbs
And 8h3960 lbs. mine is a 8 lug rim?? And my GVWR is16315 lbs . 4x3960 is under my GVWR .am I ok

Regardless of the trailer you're towing your truck would no longer be able to carry it's full load capacity with those rims. Your GVWR would be reduced to the combined weight rating of your wheels AND only then if you could load all four wheels equally (which is highly unlikely) OEM rims would be more than 25% of the trucks GVWR (about where you're at) which would allow for situations such as towing a 5th wheel where MORE weight is carried on the rear of the truck. Best when wheels match 1/2 of the axle ratings of the axles they're mounted on.

I am assuming you have a 5th wheel?

If so, yes.

Approximately 25% of your GVWR is carried in the bed.

You rim ratings should be greater than your axle ratings, which are probably 7K lbs.
