- BobboExplorer III couldn't care less about the Bluetooth, but the CO monitor, if it shuts down the generator, would be useful for idiots who run generators inside their homes or garages.
- jdc1Explorer IIAnother price increase?
- FishermanExplorerWell, do you really need to know all that info, just something else to go wrong. An oil/hour meter would suffice.
- 2oldmanExplorer III'm not a get-off-my-lawn guy, so I like that stuff. I bought too early.

- wnjjExplorer III wonder why they didn’t make the ECO switchable from the app. That would be nice if you want to turn it off from inside an RV before hitting it with a large load. I can see the Bluetooth as more useful on an electric start model though.
More data is always a good thing and I don’t think it makes anything more likely to break. - 2oldmanExplorer II

I have to keep reminding myself I can turn on my household oven with my phone. - road-runnerExplorer III

At 10:58 in the OP's video, eco is switched on from the app. (edit: this is incorrect, he switched eco manually and the app just reported the change). With being able to shut down the generator and change eco from the app, it does seem to me there are more things to break. For instance, a fault in the remote control system could make the generator inoperable.

Knock a few pounds off of the EG2800i and put it in more "friendly" housing.
Some day, portable generator manufactures will realize that an external tank quick connect is a highly desired feature ! - wnjjExplorer II

I didn’t see where he switched it in the app, only that it displays the state of the old-school rocker switch. Notice the cut in the video and that he just mentions it showing that it’s on.
