Our EU3000i is ten years old. The battery died in the first year. Not sure why, maybe we didn't use the Honda enough. Since then, due to the high price of a new Honda type battery, I have just used the pull cord. Nine years later, no problem.
The Honda 3000 is in the back of the truck between the tool box and the hitch, and is covered with a BBQ cover. When I want to use it, I have to go out to the truck, remove the BBQ cover, plug in the trailer wire(s), and start it up.
What good would a remote start do me? I would have to leave the cover off no matter what rain, and leave the trailer wire(s) plugged in. Pretty hard to do since we use the truck all the time to go off somewhere.
So IMO for how we RV, remote start is useless and no need for electric start either unless the pull cord does not work.
