Does anyone have any experience with this generator run time fuel extender? Thoughts - good and bad?

Thanks.

Depends on how its milled. Just like any other screw or nut, one doesn't strip the other unless one is out of spec or has been mauled. Mine shows zero sign of gaulling.

I know my inexperience is showing, but wouldn't a plastic cap be better, because a CNC milled cap does work and seal tightly, but might eventually strip the threads on the generator?

Yes on the surface it looks like a quality piece, but personally I would try to just buy the cap off ebay. The fitting that screws into the cap is available at Napa auto parts and the tank you can buy at Walmart.

A lot of people seem to have and love their extra capacity generator fuel tanks. Most seem to be built using an outboard boat motor fuel tank. I would think the deciding factor on whether an extended run setup is worthwhile would revolve around the Honda fuel cap. If the cap leaks air, it won't be able to suck fuel from the tank.

Did you have a specific kit or tank you were considering? Could you link it so we could take a look?
Thanks
