Hot Water Heater Problem

We have a Girard Tankless hot water heater that unfortunately, didn't work this week while camping in Cape Hatteras. Thus, no hot water the whole week. We can't find anything wrong and did all the troubleshooting tricks we could think of. We didn't hear it kick on/ignite like it usually does when working. Has anyone had any problems with this heater system that might offer some tips to try before we end up ripping the whole thing out and throwing it in the garbage? We have had nothing but problems with it the whole time we have had our coach. We have a 2013 Coachmen Cross Country RV. Any help will be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

  • Check the manual reset high limit thermostat inside the unit. I think the first units have had this problem of the limit switch opening. The new ones have auto reset ones in them, at least mine does.
  • Power? Did you check the breaker for it? Did you verify it has 120VAC? If ots a gas only model, did you check fuses to prove it has 12VDC to it?
