How to Eternabond around pipes?

Like the title says, how do you tape around objects like pipes or antenna base?

Use a lot of straight overlapping pieces?
Cut a radius into the side of pieces of tape?
Something more ingenious?
Build a life you don't need a vacation from.

I would just get as close as I could with the Eternabond, then use lap sealant around the pipe, etc for the small areas that were missed

The fabric backed Ebond is much easier to deal with when covering curves than the plastic backed. BUT, you have to paint the UV resistent paint on it.
