how to remove atwood heater

I have to remove the heater in order to replace the duct pipes, which I am replacing with solid (mice proof lol). Can't disconnect gas line?? help
  • Why cannot the gas line be removed? Mine is a bit tight to get a wrench on but still it is just a pipe with fittings.
  • Ducted models are removed via outside.
Have to unscrew/remove cover to access components.

HERE is a service manual that covers the different models of Atwoods.

  • You say heater, I guess you mean the furnace, if so gas line disconnects from exterior. Look for vented cover with 4 screws attaching it to the exterior. remove the cover and you should see the gas connection, good luck with the duct hose project
