I just bought a 2007 Heartland Landmark Monticello and have an issue with the hydraulic front landing gear. As I push the "Extract" part of the switch the landing gear goes down, when I push the "Retract" part of the switch the landing gear goes down. I can't get the landing gear to go up, and now the landing gear is almost completely retracted. Too low for me to get it on the hitch and take it to a dealership. This is my first time pulling a fifth wheel - I have always been a Class C owner. I did the stupid newbie mistake and drove off after I unhitched everything.....but the emergency brake pull pin. As I drove off that came out. I put it back in. Would that have anything to do with it? Thank you in advance for any/all help with this. Steve
I don't think switch since result is same both ways. Switches most likely work or do nothing, not opposite of what they are supposed to do. Possible the reversing solenoid has gone bad so its not reversing the pump. See if you can find something like this and reverse the heavy right and left wires from the top posts and see if it works. Might also try to firmly tap it a few times. Here is a Lippert video about to manually work the jacks.
