OK, I have checked my notes and I installed this same t-stat last weekend. From what I see, Old Bisquit has the correct info. Since you are not getting heat you need to identify the two wires that go to your heater. I had a 4 wire cable to the AC, 2 wires to the furnace and an additional single white wire for the ground. My heat was the 2 wires. You should have one that is +12v which should connect to the t-stat R terminal. The other should connect to the W terminal. Be sure that the t-stat is switched to heat and you should be good to go. I found that the factory default configuration settings were correct.
Hope this helps, if not the your fallback is to reconnect the old one for heat until you get things figured out.
One last thing - This is all making the assumption that you put batteries into the new thermostat and that it really is working.
Let us know if this is not helping. Feel free to PM me if you want to double check any of the details.
