IX 2000 Generac Inverter Generator

Have a Generac IX 2000 Inverter generator that runs well and only has about 25 hours on the unit. It is 2 1/2 years old so it is out of warranty.
The problem is it runs OK but I am getting a red overload light
and no power. Anyone have any ideas of what the problem might be??
Any help would be appreciated.

Doing a quick google search on the manual it says the below but I could be wrong....

1. Reduce the load to the generator and restart.
2. Replace inverter assembly
