Jayco Fresh Water Monitor Wires

Three of my monitor sensor wires were loose under the trailer. The lowest sensor wire is fixed to ground. I hooked all three together and now it shows full even when it is only 1/4 or 1/2 full. How should these wires be connected?

Bingo. My squib resistor is missing. While not technically removable, obviously mine was either weakly installed or something, because it appears that the resistor fell off or was ripped off, leaving just the wires behind. Now how to find a new resistor quickly as I am leaving Wednesday. Thanks for your post - it was extremely helpful to me.

You have 4 probes in the tank.
1. The Bottom probe white wire goes to a frame ground
2. The other 3 probe wires go to a "red or orange" Squib(K101 resistor) that is about 8 inches from the tank. ALL 3 wires go to this sensor Squib. They are molded to this squib and not removable. The Squib has 1 wire that goes to the inside monitor panel. From memory the 3 wires should be orange(full), green(2/3) and yellow(1/3). The RED wire out of the Squib(K101 resistor) goes to the wire that goes to the Fresh water wire at the inside monitor panel. IF you do NOT have that Red/Orange Squib(K101), THAT is your problem. This K101 is about the size of a Quarter. The link shows what the K101 resistor looks like. Doug

The wiring diagram shows the three wires joined like I did.
