Jensen stereo problems!! Help

So I bought a new camper last week. Went out yesterday to start fiddling around with it and I I decided to listen to some tunes. Turned in the radio, popped in a CD, it played for about 15-20 seconds with sound and then the sound went dead. You can still see the equalizer bars jumping like it is receiving the input, but no sound. Turned off the power for a bit and then came back, turned it back on and it did the same thing, played with sound for 15-20 seconds and then sound went dead again. It is a Jensen deck and has an amp. Any ideas???
