Leveling with half of a Lynx block??

We use those Lynx blocks (they look like giant Legos) to level our trailer. Works well, does not slip, easy to store and to clean.

But every so often, a stack two blocks high is not enough, while three blocks are too many.

Has anyone developed a halfway step? I tried to make one out of wood and it did not work well -- it tended to slip out of place as I drove the trailer up onto the stack of blocks.

Thanks in advance for your ideas and advice!

How has everyone missed this? This is the answer.

So are you suggesting the OP add another axle to his trailer? :h

Heh, nope. I'm suggesting I didn't realize it was a single axle camper.

This Camco Leveler has worked pretty slick for us. It acts as a chock too.

I've read of people using the thick rubber matting that is used in horse barns. Not very thick, but very solid.

Lynx manufacturer doesn't offer half Lynx so I made my own, cutting them on my table saw.

Some great tips -- thanks! And yes, I should add that DW is very sensitive to un-level conditions. This is not about the fridge -- it is about her comfort, which (as you might imagine) is pretty important to me. ๐Ÿ˜‰

To those saying it doesn't matter, and within a block is good enough, you just don't get it. :B

I'm one of those level-sensitive types. I need to be very close, or I'm discombobulated all day long. I also get carsick easy, and get motion sick in movie theaters, it's probably all related...

Anyway, I used 2x10's on my old trailer, to get a 3/4" lift I'd put one under only one of the tandem wheels on one side.

That obviously doesn't work for you (as you're single axle), and it doesn't work for me anymore with the motorhome. So I now pack a few pieces of 3/4" plywood for the fine tuning.

I'm just wood on wood and have not had issues with slippage. Maybe to use plywood with your blocks you could add rubber to one side of the wood, then put the leveler legos on top of that?

The Lynx cap blocks will gain you a little from the tire not pushing into the block tops.
Sometimes you have to accept tolerances. Perfect is the enemy of good enough.
The cap blocks are also great when you only want a single layer and can link it together to stop them from sliding apart.

I've been using one variation or another of my DIY Lynx/Wood leveling system for years with a number of different trailers and can fine tune side-to-side level within 3/4". I have 2 folding bases, one with a base layer of Lynx mounted to the base and a second base with no Lynx mounted to it. Should I level and find I'd still like to lift the trailer's low side a bit more but less than a full Lynx I can place the high side non-Lynx base under the Lynx base. Works like charm, level is just about perfect every time. :B

I use 2X6's cut, beveled, & stackable. And I'll use one block of I need some fine tuning, it doesn't hurt anything.

1/2 Lynx block off will not hurt anything. If you have tandem axles putting a block under just one will achieve a 1/2 block adjustment.
