LiFePO4 Battery

I just ordered 200 ah of these batteries for my Class B. They said all my wiring and charging systems will work. I only have room for 1 lead acid battery of 105ah. So I should have much more amps to use 80% of 200 = 160, vs 50% 0f 105= 52. I will not drain them that much. Usually kept the lead acid above 70% SOC so will do the same with the lithium. They're supposed to charge faster and better so I will not be adding to my 120 watt portable solar panel. My only concern is Using it in the 1st week of December can be cold. They may not charge much below freezing.
  • After 3.5 years of using a Prismatic 200amp LiFeMnPo4 battery I can say it's been a GREAT addition to the RV

Just picked up two of these 100amp batteries for the fishing boat trolling motor

Nice feature these guys have a built in Bluetooth connection
  • I went with these:

I emailed with the factory to meet my small battery size for 200ah and they came up with a set. They had me buy through Alibaba (a first) for $1,400.
  • Am planning the same upgrade when the factory jars finally fail, or maybe a little sooner.
I'm looking at a pair of these now, after doing a lot of research with Battle Born BB10012 batteries.

Relion has solved (to some extent) the cold charging issue, but using some of the charging amperage controlled by the BMS to warm them up before allowing charging to happen. I had a look at their charts and graphs and the specs are as good or better than the industry standards. Pricey, but for cold weather camping, probably worth it.
  • Whether your existing charger will work *properly* is up to the spec sheet, not necessarily what anyone says. Yes, they supposedly have charging problems if too cold, but the BMS should protect you. And they're forgiving of undercharging, which is a good thing.

I had to have my shore charger modified for a higher voltage and no absorb, and I reprogrammed my solar controller.

Anyway, congrats.. they're wonderful batteries and should last a long, long time with proper charging.
