Magic Chef oven makes a weird noise

The model is CYL2245BDB, either a 2001 OR 2002. Wife had dinner going and suddenly the range was making a noise somewhere between too much pressure and a gurggling sound kind of like blowing air through a drip loop that is full of moisture. As soon as I turned the oven temp switch down low, the flame went out, noise stopped. Turned the temp up and no noise, a few minutes later it was back.

I wonder if there is liquid of some sort in tbe line and it gets hot and makes the noise.

Flame color is normal blue with some yellow, all three surface burners are working normally.

I filled the tank down in Quartzsite almost two weeks ago at the Pit Stop so it is fresh propane.

Water heater is it's normal loud self and the furnance works great and pretty quietly.

Currently we are at a fairly remote Southern CA beach campground at a site without hookups, we can do without the oven until we leave on Friday.

To top it all off, the Onan, 5500 I had to have repaired and tuned before going to Q stopped running. Threw an generic code so we'll use the Champion until we get home. It's always something.
  • If the burner has a removable cap, try rotating it. Sometimes pressing down and grinding it back and forth removes grit.

The only thing that could make this kind of noise there is the burner. Replace if it bothers you. Like Chris said, not too important.

Generators in Quartzsite will never seize to amaze me.
  • Sometime the flame will back up into the burner tube and make that noise. Closing down the air shutter on the burner will help.
It really doesn't hurt anything, though it isn't heating as well as it could.
