MCD night shade will not move

We have 2013 It as a Meridian with MCD motorized windshield shades. The night shade will move a little in the down direction then stop. I can hear the motor turning but get no motion. I tried the limit setting procedure, but even in the "learning mode" the shade does not move down. I could hear the motor turning. It seems like there is some sort of clutch that is not engaging. Anyone have similar issues or ideas?

MCD tech says the motor has stripped gears and should be replaced. New one on the way update to follow.
