Need help with Onan genset

I tried to search, but did not have any luck. I have an 85 Fleetwood Jamboree on a 85 Chevy 30 drivetrain. First off, I'll admit I have not "exercised" the unit like I should. Until about one week ago I had not ran the unit for about six months. About 5 days ago, I went out and fired the generator up. It surged for about five minutes, but after that ran nice and smooth. After it was warm, I fired up the A/C unit and had no problems. A/C cooled down right away and I ran the unit for about 40 mins. Two days ago I was working on the fridge with I cannot get to light. It was hot (over 100 degrees) so I decided to fire up the A/C. I started the Onan and it fired up perfect. I started the A/C and noticed it did not get hot. After about a minute or less, the Onan just shut down on me. The engine will crank over, but will not fire up. I checked the fuse on the front of the Onan and the breakers and fuses in the house and they all seemed to be fine. Any idea or help would be great. Thanks!
