need parts

where can I get the drain hose for my rv frig. mostly without costing an arm and a leg. or can you offer a substitute hose type?
  • Like others have said, any tubing of the correct diameter from a local store, but, here is a tidbit many don't know;

    That hose should have a dip in it so it acts as a trap and holds a little water. The reason is the drain line can reduce the efficiency by allowing cold air out/hot air in.

    You may use most any kind of tubing of the proper size and that means you can get it most anywhere.
  • Yep, any home improvement store will have something that fits. Make sure you put any plug back in the end and route the hose the same way it comes out. Sometimes they place them so they actually hold a bit of water as an air block to keep warm air out.

    My hose was 1/2".
    Bought 1/2" clear hose from Home Depot (plumbing dept).
